Crystal Beare is a Registered Social Worker (RSW) who holds a Master of Social Work degree from the University of Waterloo specializing in the Social Determinants of Health. Ms. Beare also completed an Honours Bachelor of Social Work degree at Lakehead University and a Social Service Worker diploma at Fleming College. With over 10 years of Social Work experience in various inpatient and outpatient settings, Ms. Beare exhibits tremendous skill in supporting adults (18+) through difficult life experiences. She utilizes a strengths-based approach to enhance one’s empowerment in recognizing and striving for positive change. To enhance sessions, she draws from Internal Family Systems (IFS) - Informed, Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT), Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Narrative Therapy to tailor effective strategies for the specific client and presenting concern.

Ms. Beare believes that each situation and trying experience is unique to us. She focuses on how a presenting concern impacts you physically, emotionally, and cognitively, and she will walk alongside you during the healing experience. We all experience degrees of sadness, anxiety, grief, trauma, and heartbreak in our lives – it is part of the human experience. How we manage these difficult times will determine how we bounce back into a new and trusted version of ourselves. Ms. Beare prioritizes your comfort during each individual session – you control the focus, information shared, and the pace of therapy. Feeling comfortable and building trust takes time, and she will support you with each step of your journey.
