Kerrie McFadden, M.A., C. Psych. Assoc.
School Psychological Associate
Does your child struggle with the demands of school, with managing their emotions, with staying focused or remembering information? Witnessing your child struggle in any aspect of life can be very painful for a parent. It is hard to know what to do, or who to turn to for help. A psychological assessment is a great first step to getting the support your child needs. This type of assessment will highlight your child’s strengths and needs, help uncover the causes of their difficulties, and help you to advocate for help. I truly believe that knowledge is power. It would be my pleasure to work with your child to help you better understand their cognitive, academic, and social/emotional profile, and how to use that information to best support your child. As the late, great Bob Marley said, “Don’t worry about a thing, because every little thing is going to be alright”.
Kerrie-Lee McFadden completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours from the University of Guelph with a major in Psychology. She went on to obtain a Masters of Counselling Psychology degree from the Adler School of Professional Psychology in Chicago. Finally, she obtained a post-graduate certificate in School-Based Psychological Assessment, where she fell in love with ‘putting the pieces of the puzzle together’ to help explain the learning challenges of children and adolescents.
