Danielle DaCosta is a Registered Social Worker in good standing with the Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers. She completed a Bachelor of Arts degree with honours at McGill University and a Master of Social Work degree at the University of Toronto.
In addition to working as a social worker in private practice, she works at Ontario Shores Centre for Mental Health Sciences with experience in specialized clinics treating anxiety and mood disorders, post-traumatic stress, and geriatric mental health. Ms. DaCosta works from a Cognitive Behavioural Therapy framework and also incorporates other evidence-based modalities such as Cognitive Processing Therapy, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy, and mindfulness. She uses an empathetic and non-judgmental approach while collaborating with clients to develop individualized treatment plans to help them reach their goals.
